Aji Lemon Chillis – My New Favourite Flavour Bomb!
Okay… I think I’ve found my new chilli obsession — the Aji Lemon (aka Lemon Drop) and WOW!!
These golden beauties are absolutely bursting with flavour and colour!
What makes them special?
Scoville Heat Units: Around 15,000–30,000 SHU — a nice medium heat with a clean kick
Flavour: Bright, citrusy, tangy and fruity — like sunshine in chilli form
Size/Shape: Slender, slightly curved pods around 6–7cm long
Colour: Starts green and ripens to a vibrant lemon yellow — total eye-catcher!
These plants have been thriving in the garden, and the chillis just glow against the foliage.
They’re not only delicious but also absolutely beautiful to grow — and the flavour??
Unreal. Perfect in fresh salsas, seafood dishes, hot sauces, or just diced into anything that needs a zesty chilli lift
This might honestly be my new favourite tasting chilli — it’s that good
